Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety can be caused by many different factors and manifest in a lot of different ways. By looking at the contributing factors and learning how to manage the symptoms of anxiety, there is a lot of peace and freedom that can be found.

Depression

Depression

Depression can be utterly draining. Experiencing hopelessness, lack of energy and motivation, sadness, and loss of interest in things once enjoyed can feel like a bottomless pit. There IS hope to climb out of the pit.

Relationship Issues

Nobody exists in a vacuum. Relationships issues affect our whole self. Having an external trained ear to process relationship issues and boundary violations can improve other parts of your life and mental health as well. You cannot change anyone else but you can change your response to other people's behavior.

Therapeutic Aprroach

With specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, all my work is trauma informed. Each person is treated individually with a tailored approach. This may include tangible skills, such as how to manage anxiety or change negative and unhelpful thought patterns. For individuals with deep insight, therapy may simply be a place to process thoughts, feelings, issues of spirituality, or relationship conflict. Change is impacted by the relationship far more than any specific type of counseling. If the therapeutic relationship does not seem like a good fit, I champion your voice in stating so and I will help you find someone that is a better fit.

Faith Based Counseling

While I am comfortable and experienced in working with a wide variety of faith backgrounds, it is my joy to incorporate the Christian faith into counseling upon request. As a seminary student I learned how to mesh God's revealed truths in psychology with scripture. It is a beautiful opportunity to address the whole person, including spirituality.

Have you been hurt by the church and Christianity? I welcome you with open arms and will meet you right where you are at.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
